Price $30 with free shipping in the continental US. I ship using USPS Ground, which is the least expensive option that included a tracking number.  If you prefer Priority Mail or another shipping option, international shipping or would like to combine shipping on multiple items to save a little money, please email me at  judson@judsoncarroll.com Recently, folks have begun asking me to sign my work.  Well, I was hesitant because my handwriting is terrible.  But, I got a pyrography pen and started figuring out how to use it. Yep, that is my signature, or my initials at least: Wm. J. C. It is a pretty piece of River Birch. It is a nice sized cooking spoon that is sturdy and functional.  The wood has some very attractive grain patterns which allowed for straight carving lines and gentle curves. I think whoever buys this one will enjoy using it.  It is sealed with Walnut Oil.  As always, my woodwork is sustainably sourced from trees that are storm damaged or that must be thin

Wild cherry is a particularly beautiful wood, with a rich color and a straight grain - so pretty that I had to show it off a little! It is very hard to find wild cherry that can be responsibly harvested.  In early America it was in high demand for furniture, and the bark is u

I figure the kid can eat with the smaller one and the longer scoop or spoon would be ideal for grits, oatmeal... or even cream of wheat if you are a yankee.... So

Cheese or Charcuterie board set #1

You see, these are the tools I used.... and I bet most modern woodworkers wouldn't recognize two of them.  These days, most people use power tools.  I use hand tools.  That is just a personal preference.  The big thing, on the left is called a froe. A froe is used to "rive" boards out of logs.... very old tech, so to speak.  Anyone who knows wild cherry probably laughed when I said that I rived a board from wild cherry.... cherry NEVER splits into straight, clean boards as the grain is very wavy an irregular.  But yes, I split
