I carved it into a bird shape.  I think it looks like a bluebird.  The spalted grain of the wood is really remarkable. It feels very comfortable in the hand, and is about a two tablespoon capacity.  I love to use scoops in cooking.  I have several that Use to pre measure herbs and spices, salt and sugar. into before I begin.  They are very easy to grab and convenient for adding ingredients to a dish.  They never need washing ...
