Eating Spoon #8

Price $30 with free shipping in the continental US.
I ship using USPS Ground, which is the least expensive option that included a tracking number.  If you prefer Priority Mail or another shipping option, international shipping or would like to combine shipping on multiple items to save a little money, please email me at judson@judsoncarroll.com

This is a smaller... dare I say dainty?... version of the eating spoons I have featured recently.  While this spoon is perhaps half as stout as my "backpacker' spoons, it is by no means delicate.

Like the others, this spoon is carved out of American Holly and is very tough.  I had an idea that I should carve a few for folks whose hands might be a bit more normal than my massive meat hooks... perhaps even feminine.

With that in mind though, it occurred to me that ladies often like to decorate an item - to make it their own.  So, I left the handle wide and smooth.  If you are looking for a spoon to mark with your individual creativity, this one would do well.  I though, perhaps a lily.... but I put away my tools when it occurred to me that the one who owns this spoon should make it uniquely his or her own.  I only ask that you send me a photo if you add your design.  As the old saying goes, "The moving finger writes and having writ, moves on."  But, I will be curious to see what the fingers of the owner contribute.

As always, my woodwork is sustainably sourced from trees that are storm damaged or that must be thinned. Each piece is entirely hand made in the ancient greenwood tradition. I use only a hand saw, a small axe and knives. Each piece comes with a handwritten, numbered and signed document. These are heirloom quality spoons that, if properly cared for, will last for generations.
