I came up with this little bird bowl design based on traditional Swiss carving. I love the way this one turned out! The color is very even. The tight, very smooth and strong grain of holly allows me to carve tome really nice lines. I left the back faceted so you can really see it is hand-carved. I think whoever buys this this will enjoy using it. As always, my woodwork is sustainably sourced from trees that are storm damaged or that must be thinned. Each piece is entirely hand made in the ancient greenwood tradition.
